About Laurel Tech
WHAT WE DO
Our Nature Of Business

Physical commodities serve as the basic raw materials for the world economy. They are traded in enormous amounts throughout the world. We rely on them for the necessities of daily life from the electricity we use to the clothes we wear.

We at Laurel Tech focus on all parts of the trading business, including sourcing, transporting, storing, blending, and delivering commodities. Firstly, we aim to minimise overall costs when acquiring commodities and work with producers to secure long-term cost-effective supply. We then stockpile commodities to bridge the gap and maintain a stable market.

Our Vision

As a trading company, we are committed to meeting appropriate standards with customer requirements.

Our Mission

We provide standards-oriented products, systems, and services to meet customer needs through continuous improvement measures in terms of quality and resources by implementing a Management System Quality, which can optimise our services to customer needs.

Raw Coal

Commodities can be broken down into three main categories; agricultural, energy, and metals & minerals. Currently, our products include raw coal, aluminium, asphalt/butamine.

Approximately one-third of the world's energy demands, including about two-fifths of the world's power, are currently met by coal. This is because it is widely available and reasonably priced.

The primary use of coal is as a solid fuel for the production of heat and power through burning. The most typical method for creating electricity entails first pulverisation and subsequent combustion in a boiler-equipped furnace. Water becomes steam when heated, and steam is used to turn turbines, which in turn generate electricity. The Atlantic and Pacific markets currently make up the bulk of the physical coal industry. The primary importers in the Atlantic region are countries from Western Europe, particularly the UK, Germany, and Spain. In the Pacific region, exports from Indonesia and Australia are received by Japan, South Korea, China, and Taiwan. At Laurel Tech, we want to get into the Southeast Asian market with a more cost-effective supply chain.

Aluminum

Aluminium is one of the most plentiful elements in the Earth’s crust, but it is never present in its metallic form in nature. Instead, it is a compound of other elements. In terms of use cases, because it is lightweight, recyclable, and corrosion-resistant, aluminium is ideal for a variety of industrial and consumer products.

The majority of the world's aluminium demand is currently centred in China due to urbanisation. About 40% of the yearly global supply of aluminium is consumed in China. The next three biggest consumers of the metal are the United States, Japan, and the European Union.

Trade in aluminium occurs because manufacturing accounts for a sizable portion of national GDP, particularly in emerging economies that are expanding quickly. Thus, trading aluminium is a way to wager on the expansion of the global GDP. Asset diversification can be achieved by including aluminium in a trading portfolio together with other metals and other commodities. Commodity baskets, which include aluminium, can protect traders from drops in other commodities in the same grouping.

Asphalt / Butamine

Although there is regional variation in which term is most used, the terms "asphalt" and "bitumen" are frequently used interchangeably to indicate both natural and artificial versions of the substance in material sciences and engineering. Geologists around the world frequently refer to the naturally occurring substance as "bitumen." The term "bitumen" is frequently used for the manufactured substance, which is a refined byproduct of the distillation of specific crude oils.
